Dr. Martin Biography
Dr. Christina Martin was born on a farm in Bellbrook, Ohio where she was raised with two sisters and a brother. Growing up she always enjoyed spending most of her time outdoors. After high school Christina attended Clemson University because of the weather, outdoor activities, and sports (Go Tigers!). She adjusted quickly to the hot summers and mild winters and decided to move to Charleston, South Carolina after earning her degree in biological sciences.
Christina took year off where she worked for a pediatric dentist and waited tables while deciding between medical and dental school. Christina decided to pursue a career in dentistry because of the combination of science, establishing relationships with patients, and art.
Between the weather, ocean, history, and food, Charleston quickly became Christina’s favorite place. Her favorite restaurants are 167 Raw and Hometeam BBQ and she loved spending Saturdays on Folly Beach or running over the Ravenel Bridge. Once dental school was over, she left with best friends and her now husband, Carter. Next stop was Chapel Hill, NC for a residency in general dentistry. After one quick year, Christina moved to Richmond, VA to complete her education at VCU where she earned her masters in endodontics.
Once completing her education, Christina moved to Virginia Beach where she loves living near the water with her husband and Labrador Retriever, Kane.
